ESPN last month fired analyst Harold Reynolds from Baseball Tonight, sources told FAUXRUMORS that the sudden firing came after they discovered he had a tirade with none other than Kevin Weekes at a popular Brooklyn Chinese eatery.
Our sources on the scene tell FAUXRUMORS that apparently Weekes is a big fan of the former ESPN baseball analyst, and when he saw him at the restaurant bar he offered to buy him a drink.
Reynolds graciously accepted as Weekes initially came off as a well spoken normal person. However that perception vanished soon after as Weekes continued to try to buy additional drinks for Harold.
With each offer Weekes would move a little closer to Reynolds. Finally, as he has apparently done with many a fellow hockey player, he reached out to fondle Mr. Reynolds's posterior. This apparently was the last straw for Harold. He immediately arose and sharply slapped Kevin's hand away from his buttocks.
From there things really got nasty. Weekes saw this not as a rejection but as a come-on, so he continued his routine of trying to caress Reynolds's hair, etc. Harold would have none of that, and began to verbally assault Weekes. Calling him a nasty fagot. Using several more anti gay epithets. Even going as far as saying he's more of a fagot than even fellow ESPN analyst Jay Marriotti.
It was hard for anyone in the establishment to miss this exchange. It ended with Reynolds storming out of the restaurant. Weekes calmly returned to his seat and resumed his previous activities as if this happens to him all the time. Which, if all our sources are correct, does daily. Stay tuned for the latest as it develops!

I actually was present during the incident, and let me tell you, this was jaw-dropping. Being an avid traveller, one can't resist going to the Shanghai Café for world reknowned chinese food. There I was sitting down and thinking of my next destination when I noticed Weeks and good ol' Harold sitting down at the bar. I thought nothing of it, as sport authorities tend to mingle in these types of environments. So the whole thing unfolds, as described in your blog. Harold storms out of the restaurant and Weekes sits back down at his seat and orders himself a drink (White Zinfandel, if it may be of interest to anyone. Low and behold though, (and I am surprised that this was not covered in the blog), none other than John Madden comes in roughly 30 minutes later and wouldn't you know it, Weekes tries to pull the same shit. Now I never knew John Madden was the trusting type, but he let Weekes buy him drinks and get closer. I guess this is common practice in the football world, because Weekes pinches Madden's ass who then laughed and does the same thing back to Weekes. Anyways, I was then called onto a very important conference call with the likes of Canadian trailer park trash Paul Tracy and fellow counterpart Alex Tagliani and did not witness the closure to this encounter, but it is fair to say that Weeks may have once again made a victim out of the sports world...
When I finished reading this latest account, I immediately gave my friend Billy Bing a call to either verify or negate this story. He is the proprietor of the Hong Kong Gardens, the establishment where this incident supposedly occurred. It just so happens that IE is 100% accurate in its report. Certainly, Billy could not answer for ESPN and their policies regarding misconduct, but he noted that both Mr. Reynolds and Mr. Weekes were at the bar. In fact, IE sugar coated the details a bit. It was far worse of a scene than was reported. Patrons were aghast at the language used by both men, and were anxious as to the possibility of the argument escalating. Billy indicated that the witnesses overwhelmingly supported Mr. Reynolds' handling of the encounter. I kid you not when I say this - Billy stressed several times that Mr. Weekes presented himslef as a "predator." This characterization has been used repeatedly by NYR NEWS and IE. While I am a Kevin Weekes fan ON the ice, I cannot condone this sorted behavior OFF it. I hope Mr. Reynolds will be reinstated by ESPN shortly, and that his career will not be permanently tarnished. Great job on this story, IE. All I can say is, keep up the good work!

This DID NOT happen. Do your research, you morons. ESPN very clearly illustrated in a statement the reasons for Harold Reynolds' dismissal. This fabricated tale makes you all look like racist, homophobic pigs!
