SHAKY WEEKES MAKES TRADE MORE LIKELY?
1) Even before the game in Buffalo the Rangers were looking for any reason to rid themselves of Kevin Weekes. The number of reasons seems to grow by the day.
2) First it was for being a locker room distraction. Making lewd and unwanted comments/overtures toward unsuspecting rookies in the showers. His salary of 2 mil/year. Finally the fact that he just plain sucks.
3) The problem lies in the fact that every other GM in hockey has to know about all this as well. However, if Lou Lamarello can trade a retired player, why couldn't Sather find a way to trade a sucky, overpaid, gay back up goalie?
4) The number of potential suiters though is small. Perhaps JD in St.Louis will do his old employer 'a solid' and take on Weekes for the remainder of the season? Stay tuned. We're fairly certain things won't stay status quo much longer on Broadway

This bigotry knows no bounds. Come on now faux, you can't be serious about this crap. If the Rangers want to unload Weekes, they'll just do it. If he's that much of a locker room distraction, they would never put up with it. The truth is, Kevin hasn't played very well and his future in NY is tenuous based on that. His alleged gayness has nothing to do with it. Shanny would never allow this type of behavior to disrupt team unity. He's a born leader on and off the ice. Brendan has donated money to many environmental groups, so he's tops in our book.

1) No bigotry here 1940. We write what we see/hear from our voluminous sources.
2) We strongly believe in them. Thus far they have a proven track record that we can't ignore.
3) As for 'Shanny not allowing this behavior'. Shanny though quite hetero, is very open minded, and doesn't want to offend a gay African Canadian with any offensive comments
